Hyperrealism in my painting.

It so happened that I absorbed the ideas and images of hyperrealistic painting from childhood. My parents are artists, they have been representatives of this trend since the Soviet era. My mother Olga Grechina combines various directions in her work from hyperrealism to surrealism and abstraction. Father Sergei Geta is one of the most famous artists working in this style both with painting techniques and graphic ones. Visiting exhibitions and communicating with my parents' friends, I saw hyperrealistic paintings by Sergey Sherstyuk, Sergey Bazilev, Leonid Semeyko. All this was deposited in my mind. And mentally imagining in which direction I would like to work, I knew for sure that it would be Hyperrealism.

On the Internet, you can find a huge number of articles and definitions of what hyperrealism is, is there a difference from photorealism. What is his creative beginning, what ideas are pursued by artists. I want to describe my thoughts and what I want to convey through this flow.

In my understanding, Hyperrealism should have an exceptionally strong effect on a person's consciousness. Hyperrealism in painting enhances the impression, size, reveals the boundaries. Stronger, louder, and brighter makes the details sound. Like a tsunami, it should hit the viewer with its plausibility and lure him into a new reality. Hyperrealism reveals what we don't notice in the hustle and bustle of life.

I am interested in working on impressions and sensations.
My works are collecting shape that I try to bring to a personal maximum. And the technique of realistic painting is only a means of transmitting my feelings. It is interesting for me to combine the elaborated details with going into a freer painting, into abstraction. I like to paint sunlight, air, the depth of space.

Of course, like many modern artists at the sketching stage, I use a computer and my own photographs in building a composition as auxiliary tools.

I want us to become small and children again and be surprised to look at simple things anew, recognizing their essence and beauty. I want what I saw to penetrate into your soul and stay there forever.
